Everyone involved – students and lecturer – testify that training by skype works well. Previously, a week or two was taken out of the team’s work schedule and at least the lecturer had to travel and be away from home. This involved board and lodging and travel logistics, etc., which requires intensive involvement on the side of the administrative staff, not to mention costs. When working on Skype there are virtually no logistics (when the team is already working on Skype every day) and the lesson hours could be integrated with the students’ work time seamlessly.
In practice, the lesson would be presented during either the first 1½ hour of the workday or the last, three times a week. This implies that student fatigue, which becomes a problem at the end of a day – and week – of lectures, was eliminated, as the course could be presented in bite-size pieces. – Pierre, Slovakia
