In October 2024, the first-ever Bible translation training took place in Skopje, North Macedonia, marking a significant step forward in the mission to bring God’s Word to more people in their heart languages. Five translators participated and two key subjects we taught: The Process of Bible Translation and Principles of Bible Translation (Part 1).
The training was not only an opportunity to equip translators with essential skills but also a time of spiritual growth and connection. The participants’ reflections highlight the impact of the experience:
- “I learned what teamwork is and that we need to work in teams.” – Bajram
- “I learned that when we study the Bible, we are getting closer to God and experiencing the Holy Spirit more frequently. I have experienced tremendous joy hearing the lessons in the Romani language.”
- “I learned that translation of the Bible can be very engaging and interesting. It challenged me to get out of my comfort zone and grow in learning.” – Dzonatan
- “I learned that we don’t need to be afraid to ask questions and learn from them.”
These testimonies highlight the impact of the training, both in building translation skills and deepening spiritual connection. We look forward to seeing how these translators will bring God’s Word to life in their communities, sparking lasting transformation.
