The first online training event in Nigeria was conducted in September 2020 for the subjects of Computer & Digital Literacy, Phonology, and Orthography.
“Despite being used to face-to-face learning, the translators were able to adopt this new modern type of learning (through Zoom) for the first time in their lives. These are people from remote villages but their enthusiasm and courage to learn through Zoom made the online training a dream come true. My greatest joy is seeing how other community members both far and near are impacted. They are beckoning on us to come to them and start translation projects.”
